Things We Can Control

I bet you know someone that they can quickly manage to calm themselves when things go wrong. The key lies in their perspective.
Imagine walking to the office in the morning, and a stranger accidentally bumps into you, spilling your coffee. If you're wearing a white shirt that day, you're probably already seething with anger. I get it, but…hold your punch.
At best, you both might insult each other; at worst, you guys begin fighting.
But is this the best solution? Is this considered a good outcome?
Try these approaches:
Could you politely ask for compensation for the coffee?
Could you send your boss a text? Explaining what happened and now you need to go home and change your clothes before going to work.
They understand that what we can control are our emotions, our opinions, our words, our thoughts, our judgments, and our desires.
What we cannot control are everything that happens externally. This includes our bodies, money, reputation, others opinions, and even accidents that occur today.
Whenever you encounter difficulties - slow down.
Stop and think about the best solution.
Starting today, let's be masters of our thoughts.
